My name is Roman Wenzl. As an economist from WU Vienna and a manager in international leadership positions, I worked for over three decades in the food industry, retail, and consumer goods sector – in France, the USA, the Gulf States, and many other countries.
I knew the industry from the inside. I knew how products are developed, what compromises are made in quality, and what really goes into most foods sold daily in supermarkets.
And it was precisely this knowledge that eventually woke me up.
The Turning Point
After two decades of permanent international stress – traveling between Vienna, New York, and Dubai, endless reorganization projects, 80-hour weeks – I noticed my energy waning. Not dramatically, but noticeably. Concentration, endurance, recovery – everything became harder.
As someone who knows the food industry from the inside, I began to deliberately make changes. Away from industrially processed products, towards organic-certified, regional foods directly from the producer.
The result was astounding: more energy, better concentration, less exhaustion.
