Organic Juices
Why directly pressed — and why exclusively organic?
Most juices in the supermarket are heat-treated, reconstituted from concentrate, and preserved for months. What is lost in the process: vitamins, enzymes, polyphenols — in short: everything that makes the juice valuable.
We have deliberately opted for directly pressed juices from organic-certified cultivation. The difference is measurable.
Directly pressed vs. juice from the supermarket shelf
- No concentrate — Supermarket juices are often evaporated, transported, and later reconstituted with water. Volatile aromas and heat-sensitive vitamins are lost in the process
- No high heating (HPP or pasteurization) — conventional juices are heated to 70–85°C, which significantly reduces vitamin C and B vitamins. Directly pressed juices remain closer to their nutritional content
- No added flavors — many supermarket juices contain added “natural flavors” to compensate for flavor loss due to processing. With us: only fruit
- No added sugar — the sweet taste comes exclusively from the fruit itself, not from added fructose or sweeteners
Why organic-certified cultivation?
- Pesticide-free raw material — conventional fruit for juice production is intensively sprayed. Since the peel is pressed along with the fruit, pesticide residues get directly into the juice — detectable according to EFSA studies
- Higher polyphenol content — According to studies (e.g. British Journal of Nutrition, 2014), organic fruit has an average of 19–69% higher polyphenol content than conventionally grown fruit
- No synthetic fertilizers — lead to faster growth but thinner nutrient density. Organic farming promotes slower, more nutrient-rich growth
